Lastly Georgie's has a great store that features many cute things. Toys for the kids, souvenirs,  personalized items and so much more! If you are on the boardwalk, make sure you stop by and look around.

Little bit of history...
Georgie's Candies has been an institution on the Ocean City Boardwalk since 1954 when George Koukoulis founded the candy store. A tradition for many tourists has been the World Famous Macaroons. Naked fresh everyday the macaroons sweet smell resonates throughout the store. George's creamy fudge melts in your mouth as you stroll down the boardwalk. In 2003 George's was renovated and expanded. Our homemade ice cream, made from recipes dating back to 1915, has been moved to the from of the store, where long lines await the cool treat on hot summer nights. Also new in 2003 was the addition of Geroge's Breakfast Grille. All food is made to order with fresh meats and vegetables, fluffy pancakes and mouth watering omelets.

Have you been there? What is your favorite thin at George's???

SPANK! The 50 Shades The Parody

Last weekend I finally got my "Girls Night Out"! We went to The Golden Nugget in Atlantic City, NJ to see SPANK! The 50 Shades The Parody

I never laughed so hard in my life! The story is about E.B. James, an author, who is writing a very sexy steamy novel while her husband is away with the children. Things start to heat up while she starts describing her leading characters.

SPANK was absolutely the best show to see with the girls! Knee slapping funny, just the right amount of dirty and a whole lot of sexy!!! You are in for a good night, singing, sexual innuendos, dancing and more!! I cannot forget some of my favorite things.....the silk tie, discussing hardlines and softlines and of course the RED ROOM!

Hugh Hanson was played by Drew Moerlein.
www.drewmoerlein.com
Hugh Hanson, is a sexy, successful billionaire who likes to play in his Red Room!

Tasha Woode was played by Danielle Trzcinski.
www.daniellet.weebly.com
Tasha Woods, is a meek, shy and naive who interviews Mr. Hanson for the school paper.

While at work Tasha sees Mr. Hanson who is in search of some supplies. Mr. Hanson is quite intrigued by her innocence and wants to show her a few things.

Sound a little familiar?
Well is you were to mix Fifty Shades of Gray with Magic Mike,
you wind up with SPANK.

The Great Food Escape

Let's talk food!
Ocean City NJ has so many great food venues on the Boardwalk.
Today I am going to tell you about Del's Oceanside Grill.

934 Boardwalk Ocean City New Jersey 08226 Phone: 609-399-3931

In 1954 my Mom and Dad opened up a small sandwich shop in Audubon, NJ.  The menu consisted of steak sandwiches to penny candy. Working together, they managed to build up a nice business.  In 1965, we moved to Ocean City and relocated Del’s to the boardwalk, in the location we occupy today.

While the surfers at the time were hanging 10 on long boards by Dewey Weber and Greg Noll, Dad was serving famous steak sandwiches, burgers and much more.

Today, as time may have it, surfers are still riding those long classic boards, along with other new shapes and so are we.  Our classic steaks & burgers are still the traditional favorites of families, however, the addition of our homemade crab cakes, fresh seafood platters and other new items to our menu are destined to become classic favorites for years to come.

So we invite you to continue the tradition with us at Del’s where classic food and service is not an option, it’s what our family has been doing since 1965.

They have a great selection to choose from including salads, appetizers, kids food, hot dogs, fries, Angus burgers, chicken and seafood platters.

Here are some of my recommended items: Crab Cake and Grilled Shrimp Combo, New England Lobster Cakes, Stuffed Soft Shell Crab Cakes, Maryland Crab Cake Sandwich, Chipotle BBQ Chicken Sandwich.

On The Healthy Side they offer:
Mandarin salad with grilled chicken or fresh grilled tuna steak, Apple walnut salad, Grilled shrimp sea salad, Key West salad and more.

In the mood for snacking? They also have great Snackiteasers: Wings, Mozzarella Sticks, Chicken Fingers, Fingers and Fries, Onion Rings, Breaded Zucchini and a Snackiteaser sampler.

They also have great seafood snackiteasers too:

Buffalo Shrimp, Crunchy Coconut Shrimp, Crab Balls, Chilled Steamed Shrimp, Steamed Clams, Clam Strips, Fried Oysters and Ale Battered Cod Fingers

If you are out for a walk and in search of some great food then this is the place to visit!

Have you tried Del's? Send me your review and I would be
happy to post it on my next review blog!

Take Your Breath Away Thursday: Jersey Shore Views

Living on the Jersey shore I have become so dependent on the beautiful views. It has come to the point where I HAVE to watch the sunset everyday.

The sunsets are the most beautiful things I have ever seen. They are so peaceful and serene.
Taking a stroll on the beach at sunset is so romantic!
Just imagine what it looks like at the top of the Ferris Wheel at sunset! Breathtaking!

It /sunset/ was the cooling hour, just when the rounded Red sun sinks down behind the azure hill, which then seems as if the whole earth is bounded, circling all nature, hush'd, and dim, and still, with the far mountain-crescent half surrounded on one side, and the deep sea calm and chill upon the other, and the rosy sky with one star sparkling through it like an eye. - Lord Byron

Have you ever seen a sky so beautiful?

Items created by the artisans working at the Village may be purchased in the Village Country Store. Pottery including bowls, mugs and containers; brooms such as whisk brooms and witch’s brooms; and ironware like horseshoes, hooks and broom-holders. Stop by Country Store for sweets and treats, home-made jams and jellies, wooden toys and more!

Every Tuesday and Thursday, visitors can watch as a Civil War era Cape May County family copes with the realities of divided loyalties. Cape May in Blue and Gray, a brief one-act play presented in partnership with the Cape Island Theatre Company, commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg and the Emancipation Proclamation and brings awareness to the impact the Civil War had on Cape May County.

Do OC

Many many years ago as a child my family would take me to the shore for vacation. I LOVED it! It was a place for me to run free and relax. I would bounce around from arcade to arcade to mini golf to the beach to the water park and amusement parks and all over again. Ocean City NJ has been voted the Best Family Resort many times, and there is a reason for it. There is just so much to do that you will be busy the whole time you are here. The boardwalk is about 2.5 miles and is filled with shops, food and many attractions.

Not in the mood for shopping? If you just need just sit back and relax then you have miles of beach to sit and take in. The views are breathtaking and the sound of the waves crashing are beyond relaxing.

You also have Main Street shopping just 3 blocks away! There are many quaint shops you can shop at on Asbury Ave.

If you are planning a romantic getaway this is the place to be! You have choice of Bed & Breakfasts, Hotels or renting a house or apartment for your stay.

I do have a place to recommend to you if you do chose to visit:

This beautiful 2 Bedroom 1.5 Bath condo is located in the center of town. Includes off Street parking and outside shower. Walking distance to all the shops, boardwalk and beach! For more information on this great condo click HERE! This rental is available all year long, perfect for holiday weekends and great getaways!

If you want to know what's going on when you are
looking to vacation just click HERE.

I have been coming to Ocean City since I was a small child. I continued this tradition with my husband. The shore is where we got engaged almost 10 years ago. So many memories here! We decided that this would be a great place to bring our daughter, and we have since she was born. Six years later we decided to up and move here because we loved it here so much. Once you decide to make the trip down here, you will fall in love too!
