Book Review: Letting Go by Jennifer Foor

303 pages
Published September 4th 2012

My review:

I really enjoyed a book with a great love triangle!

Savannah, (Van) is a beautiful 19 year old college student who doesn't know how beautiful she is. She is the kindest person and had been in love with Tyler (Ty) since she was 14 and have been dating for the past 5 years, which is where our story begins.

Van had a scholarship to college and needs to focus on her studies to maintain her GPA so she does not loose     her scholarship since her parents cannot afford to pay for it.

Ty is a college frat boy who have a love for women and booze. He is also a football player and the local hero in their small town.
This story has alternating POV's ( my favorite). It starts with Ty right after him and Van break up. In hopes to encourage Ty to focus more on his studies Van decides to break up with Ty. He's a guy and has his own ideas! With his new found freedom, Ty decides to let loose. White at a party he knows Van will be at, Ty walks in totally drunk with a blond bimbo on his arm. Completely heartbroken Van runs out.

Ty chases after her, but she takes off in her car. Ty attempts to follow her but there is a horrible accident that severely injures Ty and he winds up in a coma.

The next chapter switches to Van's POV. Six months later and Ty is still in a coma, Zane has not left his side. She feels responsible for the accident and Ty's family blames her. I do feel sorry for Van for all the crap that she has had to endure for the past few months.

Ty's older cousin comes to town to help his family on the family farm. Colt bumps into Van while he came to visit his cousin. Colt is sexy, arrogant and yet you come to find out that he is a real gentleman.

As you read this story, you will see a relationship develop between Colt and Van.

This is not your typical love story with tons of pleasantries, you will laugh, cry, yell and scream at the characters in this book. There are many bumps in the road. I can't say anymore without divulging more of the story, you will just have to read it for yourself. Be warned....there are many books in this series, this is just the beginning. Happy reading!

Goodreads.com description:

Savanna Tate has loved the same guy since she was 14yrs old. Now she and Tyler are in their second year of college. While Savanna is concentrating on maintaining her high grade point average and academic scholarship, Tyler is busy partying with his frat brothers and screwing around on his girlfriend behind her back.

Savanna decides they need a break, just so she can focus and maybe change his mind about his priorities. One night at a party Savanna catches Ty in the act and after a heated argument, she leaves. In fear of losing her forever, Tyler steals a car and proceeds to follow her even after he had too much to drink. He loses control of the vehicle and from the injuries of the accident he goes into a coma.

Everyone blames Savanna for Ty's accident. She loses her friends. His family disowns her. She stops being around people and spends most of her time at the hospital waiting for Ty to wake up so that they can start over and have the future she always wanted.

Then his cousin Colt comes back to town to help with the Mitchell family's farm.

The chemistry between them is electric, but is Savanna willing to let go of Ty to explore her feelings for Colt?
