Running from a past that threatens to haunt her for the rest of her life, Rayne Carrington finds herself in Eden’s Ridge by chance. She promptly makes the tiny, serene town her home and finally finds some semblance of peace. Six months later, she encounters a dangerously alluring stranger, who turns her world upside down with his mere presence. Soon she is caught in a web of temptation that is too overpowering to deny. But how does she handle a man who is hell bent on resisting her at all cost?
Christian Stockwell returned to his hometown of Eden’s Ridge, to find a beautiful stranger living under his roof. He is instantly bewitched by her loveliness but he knows that he cannot allow himself to have her. He struggles to rein in the lust he feels for her but how long will he be able to resist such sweetness? It won’t be long before he must surrender to sweet serendipity.
Rayne was raised in wealth and even in law school she loved to drink and party. A tragic accident caused by her drinking resulted in her running away to a small town and a waitress job, trying to hide from her past and deal with her guilt.
Christian grew up in that small town and ran away after college to live life to the fullest as a photo- journalist. He loved living on the edge, the more dangerous the assignment, the better he liked it. Women were a sexual outlet but never a commitment. After being captured and tortured by terrorists, he went home to unwind and rest at his childhood home which had been left to him at his parents death.
Unknown to Christian, his aunt, who had been taking care of his home, had leased it to Rayne, who also worked at the aunt's diner. When Christian walks into his home, hoping for a shower and bed, he walks in on Rayne just finishing her shower. She walks out, wrapped in a towel, to face a very angry man pointing a gun at her.
After identifying themselves and discussing their situation, they agree to sleep on it and work things out in the morning. Their agreement the next day was to share the home for whatever time Christian stays, as he has never stayed very long in the town he abandoned years ago.
Christian's visit home lasts longer than either expected and the attraction between these two escalates until it explodes into the hottest sexual and emotional relationship either has ever experienced but both are hiding their pasts and both are determined not to fall in love.
As their story evolves, the sex gets hotter and the emotions get stronger but will their feelings be enough to overcome the pasts that neither seems willing to share with the other ?
A very well-written story that keeps the reader glued to each page, anticipating what will happen next. The characters are realistic enough to feel like people we might possibly know and the sex is hot enough to keep the fans of erotica enthralled. A five star novel from a talented writer that leaves the reader hoping to see more novels from this author.

She has been a storyteller for as long as she can remember, many characters live inside her overactive mind and a thousand stories come to life in her head every day. She’s been writing down her sweet romances ever since she was a teenager but in her early twenties, Ms. Belle became interested in erotic romance novels and her own stories took a turn for the sensual since then.

She considers herself ‘forever 21’ and enjoys reading contemporary romance, Science fiction and fantasy, listening to music and dancing like there’s no tomorrow. A caffeine addict that lives life from one coffee mug to the next, she’s always on the go, ready and waiting for the next adventure.
